Welcome to the Victoria School Community!
Just a brief note to introduce you to the Victoria School Parent Support Group (VSPSG). Our mission is to partner the school in bringing the best out of every Victorian. In doing so, we hope to contribute to the perpetuation of the special Victorian Spirit. Our vision is to be a valued partner in the well-being and development of Victorians, working in close partnership with the school. This is why I would like to encourage you to join us in this valuable endeavour! Together, we believe we can help and support our sons to fulfil their potential in school and in life.
The VSPSG is active throughout the year in parent education, teacher and student support. We usually start the year with our Coffee Talk, “Transiting Your Child into Victoria School”, organized specially for Sec/Year 1 parents who are new to VS. (Please refer to the details on the next page). In addition, our VSPSG volunteers also provide work experience exposure, conduct career talks for our boys, sponsor academic improvement awards for Victorians, and support the boys in community projects.
The four years for your son in VS will no doubt be a key milestone in their journey of discovery and growth. The boy today will soon blossom into the gentleman whom you will be proud of in a blink of an eye. And as a parent, I am always proud to be a pivotal part in my son’s development, and witness his growth in partnership with the school.
Developing our sons go way beyond academic excellence. In VS, you can have the confidence that the school is always doing its utmost to ensure our sons are developing holistically and providing the platform for them to become gentlemen of the future. The work that we are doing in VSPSG will go a long way to help support that meaningful cause.
The VSPSG is run entirely by a group of passionate parent volunteers and funded from your membership fees. Do join us as a member and take part in the many activities. For those of you who are available to help, we hope you can volunteer your time and/or expertise so as to enrich the boys’ education at VS.
