Introduction
Victoria Hall is nestled in the green belt of Singapore’s East Coast and overlooking the wide blue sea.
The hostel was founded in June 2003 and is part of Victoria School. The Hall complex comprises of two 11-storeyed blocks (1 male and 1 female block) and is able to accommodate up to a maximum of 502 students.
Dedicated Teacher Mentors look after the boarders’ well-being and are available to offer guidance and help to all boarders. Every boarder will live and learn in a high-quality environment that will help them achieve their full potential and develop as upright and balanced individuals.
Friendly and supportive Hall Office staff will be taking care of the administrative and operational functions.

Student Dormitories
Each hostel block consists of 4-bedded and 2-bedded dormitories. All our student dormitories are non-air-conditioned. Each dormitory comes with an attached bathroom and washroom.
Each boarder is provided with a single bed, wardrobe, bookshelf, study desk and chair.
No choice of roommate is allowed and 2-bedded dormitories are reserved for deserving graduating boarders only, subject to availability.

* School terms and holidays will be according to MOE secondary school calendar.
4) Laundry Services
- 28 items per week, excluding socks and inner wear
- 3 collections per week (Mon, Wed, Fri)
- Additional washing can be arranged with the laundry service provider or via our coin-operated washing machines and dryers at your own expense.
Boarding fees are charged on a termly basis (according to MOE academic calendar for secondary schools), based on $25.00 per day. During the school term, boarding fees apply even if boarder is not staying in the hostel. For vacation periods (May / June and November / December holidays), boarding fees will be calculated on a daily basis.

Payment is required by cashier’s order or cheque, made payable to “VICTORIA SCHOOL”. Payment is required within 30 days from the date of the invoice. Late payment will result in termination of stay.
There will not be any refund for any boarding fees paid.

Instructions to Applicants
1) | Application is only open to students studying in MOE Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges/MI. |
2) | Completed forms are to be submitted to Victoria Hall Office. Incomplete application forms will not be processed. |
3) | Successful applicants will be informed of outcome via email within 1 month from the date of receipt of the completed application form, unless otherwise informed. |
4) | Successful applicants will be given a letter of acceptance for 2023 and emplaced into a 4-bedded dormitory. No selection of roommate is allowed. |
5) | Subsequent years of boarding (until graduation in Secondary 4 or JC 2) will be subject to annual review. |
6) | Successful applicants (non-Singaporean/PR) are required to take up a medical insurance policy to cover any possible hospitalization expenses due to illness AND personal accidents. A copy of the policy document is to be submitted to Victoria Hall Office within 1 month from the date of check-in. |
7) | Check-in for successful applicants is only allowed during Hall Office operating hours. |
8) | You are to abide by all the rules and regulations of Victoria Hall upon admission. |
9) | You are to comply with all COVID-19 measures implemented to ensure overall safety of all residents. |
10) | Any breach of Victoria Hall rules and regulations will result in termination of stay. |

Withdrawal of Boarding
Boarders who wish to withdraw from their stay at Victoria Hall subsequently are to arrange for their parents to write in or email to the hostel at least two weeks prior to the date of permanent check-out.
All outstanding payments must be cleared and all Hall property must be returned before permanent check-out. Any repair and replacement costs of damaged Hall property will be borne by the boarder.
