Assessment Policies

Assessment Framework

The assessment framework for the O Level Programme and Integrated Programme are designed to be rigorous and be able to test students’ abilities in a wide range of competencies, including understanding of concepts, applying skills and knowledge in novel situations, synthesizing new knowledge based on prior understanding, as well as effectively communicating findings and viewpoints to other people.

To align to 21st century competencies and the requirements of the GCE O and A-Level examinations, academic subjects from the disciplines of Languages, Humanities, Mathematics and Sciences would be assessed via written examination and practical/coursework components (where relevant). In addition, alternative assessment (AA) modes would be applied to gauge the acquisition of core skills and 21st century competencies such as oral communication, collaboration and project management.

Students must meet the promotion criteria to be promoted to the next level of study.
